Entry to Angel's Rest in the Autumn

When we discovered this property during a house-hunting trip in September, 2007, we immediately felt we had made a connection with the land we had dreamed about where we would conduct spiritual retreats and workshops. One year later we acquired this beautiful land we call “Angel’s Rest”.

We moved from Sarasota, Florida in October, 2008 and began to fulfill our dreams and intentions for this 7.1 acre mini-ranch, bordered by the Clatskanie River, just 2 ½ miles from the small town of Clatskanie.

Directions to the ranch:

Heading West from Portland, Oregon, (about 1 1/2 hours) take Hwy. 30, through St. Helens and Rainier to Clatskanie. Entering Clatskanie, take the first right at the exit for Swedetown Road. (As you come off the hill into Clatskanie, watch for the sign on the highway that reads "Swedetown Rd./Port Westward next right".) Go to the stop sign and turn right. Go under the highway overpass. You're on Swedetown Rd. Continue up Swedetown Rd. 2.2 miles. You'll pass a campground on the right. The next driveway on the right is the entrance to Angel's Rest at 19626 Swedetown Rd.

Alternatively, for those who know their way around, you can get here from E. Portland/Vancouver via I-205 N. (This would also be the route from PDX.) Follow the signs for 205 N. to Seattle, merging with I-5 N., and get off at the Longview Junction (exit 36). Go West into Longview, then follow the signs to Oregon and go over the bridge connecting Longview, WA with Ranier, OR. Go West on Hwy. 30 to Clatskanie/Astoria. Then follow the above directions into Clatskanie and to the ranch.

Heading East from Astoria, Oregon on Highway 30, come through Clatskanie and as you are leaving Clatskanie, take a right at the exit for Swedetown Road/Port Westward. Turn right at the stop sign and go up Swedetown Road 2.2 miles. You'll pass a campground on the right. The next driveway on the right is the entrance to Angel's Rest at 19626 Swedetown Rd.

Summer has arrived!
